My Mom wants to become a PSW

With the economy worrying my parents to no end my mom is now thinking about becoming a psw. I say go for it. The course was short and cheap and the jobs are plentiful.

Currently at my workplace they are having a hard time finding enough people to fill the jobs. I'd like to see how many other sectors can say that.

I'm not trying to rag on any other position. Being a PSW can sometimes be a thankless job (at least by some clients) but I feel like I'm doing some good, making half-decent money and have job security. In the "great depression" of 2009 that's good enough for me. Maybe mom too...

PSW Websites

I guess I haven't been much of a poster.

I've personally only been a PSW for about 8 months and finding info is tough. Its more of a nursing career in my opinion.

As for the pay I have to say its fair to good for the amount of work. It really depends on where you're working. My house is great. Some of my friends work at "problem houses", which is a tough break. We all make roughly the same pay but they have to deal with physical and mental abuse.

Back with more in a few weeks.
